Seit ich erfahren habe, dass Fototransfer auf FIMO ganz einfach funktioniert, bin ich ein riesen Fan dieser Technik. Die Formmasse reagiert nämlich mit der Farbe eines Laserdrucks und man kann so jedes beliebige Bild auf FIMO verewigen. Die Technik habe ich schon in meinem Beitrag zu Fototransfertechniken vorgestellt, aber bisher gab es von mir noch kein konkretes DIY dazu. Wie gut, dass diesen Monat unsere DIY Challenge 5 Blogs 1000 Ideen weiter geht. Für den Februar lautet das Thema: “Knete dich glücklich: Ideen mit Modelliermasse”. 
Da mir das Wintergrau und der Februarmatsch doch ordentlich auf den Keks geht, habe ich ein paar bunte Kühlschrankmagnete mit Blumenmotiven gebastelt. Die bringen ein wenig Farbe in die Bude und kitzeln die Frühlingsgefühle wach!
Für dieses Projekt braucht ihr übrigens unbedingt FIMO. Ich habe ja schon erwähnt, dass die Masse mit dem Laserdruck reagiert. Ich kann nicht sagen, ob anderer Polymerclay das auch kann, oder ob es eine Besonderheit von FIMO ist. Falls ihr das schon mal getestet habe, gebt mir gerne in den Kommentaren Bescheid. Was ich allerdings ausprobiert habe ist, einen Tintenstrahldruck zu verwenden. Das geht nicht! Also: FIMO und (gespiegelter) Laserdruck!
Für das heutige DIY gibt es auch wieder ein kleines animiertes Video. Das macht mir immer noch so viel Spaß!
Fototransfer auf FIMO: Bunte Kühlschrankmagnete
Ihr braucht:
- FIMO
- Laserdruck (gespiegelt)
- Acrylrolle
- selbstklebender Magnet
Und so wird’s gemacht:
- Rollt das FIMO zu Kugeln mit 1-2 cm Durchmesser.
- Drückt die Kugeln platt und Rollt mit der Acrylrolle drüber.
- Legt den Laserdruck auf das FIMO und rollt erneut mit der Acrylrolle drüber oder drückt das papier vorsichtig fest. Hier gehtr es darum, dass der Druck gut aufliegt. Auf keinen Fall solltet ihr zu doll drücken, denn sonst drückt sich das Papier in das FIMO und man sieht die Ränder!
- Nun kann das FIMO mit samt Papier bei 110 Grad ca. 30 min in den Ofen. Versuche nicht, zu spickeln, ob der Transfer funktioniert. Ich weiß, da juckt es in den Fingern, ich hab es ja auch gemacht. Allerdings wird durch die Bewegung das Papier minimal verrutscht oder haftet dann an einer Stelle besser als an der anderen und das sieht man später… Also Finger weg!
- Nehmt euer FIMO aus dem Ofen und löst das Papier ab. Jetzt könnt ihr das fertige Ergebnis endlich anschauen!
- Zum Schluss musst Du einfach noch ein selbstklebenden Magleten auf die Rückseite kleben.

Ja, Du kannst ganz normales Papier verwenden. Ich bin beim Aushärten dabei geblieben, würde das Papier nicht unbeaufsichtigt im Ofen lassen. Aber es sind ja nur 110°, da verbrennt das Papier nicht. Du kannst auch das Papier vor dem Backen abziehen, aber dann wird das Bild nicht ganz so intensiv
